Howdy friends!
Well, it's been a crazy summer, one filled with vampires, vampire hunters, aliens, Elvises, and a few surprises along the way. The end result is my newest novel Last Exit to Tumbleweed (previously titled Tumbleweed: Kingdom Come.) It features the many of the same characters as my 2008 novel, The Tumbleweed Dossier, but no prior reading will be required to understand this story. It very much stands on its own. Here's a little bit of what it's about:
"Welcome to Tumbleweed, Texas, a dusty West Texas town with vampires, cults, alien messiahs, and a deputy sheriff who’s seen it all... and isn't having any of it.
Daisy Dotson is a foul-mouthed, perpetually 26-year-old vampire trying to live a low-key life as a small-town cop. But when a dangerous cult led by a resurrected alien prophet takes over the town, her quiet undead routine goes up in smoke. The cult promises salvation on Mars. Daisy’s not buying it, and she and her unlikely allies (including an Elvis-impersonator vampire bartender and her friends at the FBI) have to get to the truth fast.
Caught between vampire politics, an ancient supernatural tribunal, and her confusing feelings for a mysterious new deputy who may not be who he claims to be, Daisy must navigate betrayals, bloodshed, and absurdity without losing her town or her soul.
Last Exit to Tumbleweed is a sharp, irreverent horror-comedy that mashes up vampires, sci-fi, and government conspiracy into a page-turning cocktail of action, dark humor, and heart. Whether you're new to the Tumbleweed universe or a returning fan, this is your gateway to a wickedly weird ride."
Pre-orders are now available on the Amazon Kindle, and it'll be released on November 18, 2025. It'll be available in paperback and hardcover as well, and we're seeing what we can do about pre-orders for those.
In the meantime, the summer sale for Monkey, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Nostalgia Ink is still going on. You can get each of those for 99 cents on the Amazon Kindle. Take advantage of the sale while it lasts, because once September hits, the price goes back to normal. And if you do take advantage, be sure to rate and review so they can get swimming the Amazon's algo.
But yeah, it's been an amazing journey and I can't wait to share Last Exit with the world.
